Personality development, Productivity and Performance enhancement are inter-dependent, in that productivity and performance cannot or will not improve carrying several “Undesirable” personality traits/habits/attitude/lifestyle. (Loosely called bad habits or negative thinking and wrong beliefs etc.,).

Several different professions/jobs/roles also mandate certain minimum ‘positive’ qualities and stipulate or tolerate up to a maximum level of undesirable(negative) traits/attitudes.

More one desires to climb up the organizational ladder, more positive qualities one should possess. This is the universal law without exception. Hence, it is absolutely necessary to 'Get Rid Off' these negative attributes and consequently gain positivity and enhance 'Personality'.

1. Take for example a capable cashier looking for a job in a hotel. He is very good and quick and reliable, sharp in taking out cash i.e. he is a petty money thief. Now no owner wants such a person and no one would like to offer him a job.
2. Take another example a very highly accomplished technically qualified and capable engineer with lots of years of experience for a General Manager in a software company. He is good in his job but he is a liar and he is not dependable. Also, he is a procrastinator. Such a person delivers goods only under heavy monitoring by a superior and that too occasionally. No company wants him.

One can go on ad infinitum with such tales. The point to emphasis here is simply this: A person’s overall performance is a product of his role/job capability value ‘MULTIPLIED’ by his ‘3P value’.

Therefore, his job/role usefulness = Roles/Job capability value/index * 3P value/index 

(Usefulness index) = (Capability Index) *(3P Index)

Suppose a person for a role (say programmer) has a value of 9(On a scale of 1-10) i.e. is a very good programmer and has a value of 3 (On a scale of 1-10) as 3P value, i.e. is a procrastinator, a dishonest liar and is irregular, can’t keep schedule, is absent minded, noncooperative, then his total usefulness for his job under consideration is simply U=C*P

U=0.9*0.3=0.27 or his usefulness is 27%.

Even though he is very good in the job required skill ,(on the contrary) a very ordinary average skilled programmer who has a capability value of 5 or 0.5 but of fairly good character i.e. honest and reliable and does not procrastinate, amicable and amenable to group working, has a score of 8 for P value, then his usefulness is U=0.5*0.8=0.40, far higher than former score of 0.27. If pass marks is 35% then latter worker qualify and is preferred to former, even though latter is incapable of high end challenging jobs. This simply means that, a company cannot solve/accomplish high skilled challenging jobs at all due to lack of soft quality in it's citizenry.
